Cookie Notice
Last updated: 27 May 2026
This notice explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on ukdealstoday.com, why we use them, and how you can control them. For broader information on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser. Cookies let sites remember things between visits — for example, that you've already accepted a notice, or that you came from a particular link.
Some technologies do the same job under different names (local storage, pixels, beacons). For simplicity, we refer to all of them as "cookies" on this page.
Categories we use
We group cookies into two categories.
Essential cookies
Required for the site to function. They cannot be disabled because the site won't work properly without them. Examples:
- Security cookies set by our CDN to detect abuse and protect against attacks.
- Session cookies that remember basic preferences during your visit.
No personal data is processed beyond what's strictly needed to deliver the page you asked for.
Analytics cookies
Set only with your consent. They help us count visitors and understand which deals and brands are useful, so we can improve the site. We use Google Analytics 4, which sets the following cookies:
_ga— distinguishes unique visitors. Lifetime: 2 years._ga_*— used to persist session state. Lifetime: 2 years.
We do not use analytics cookies to advertise to you, build a profile of you, or sell your data.
Third-party cookies on outbound links
When you click an affiliate link to a merchant, the affiliate network may set its own cookie on the merchant's domain so it can attribute the sale to us. This cookie is set on the destination site, not on ukdealstoday.com. Cookie lifetime varies by network (typically 24 to 90 days).
This is how the affiliate model works — without it, we couldn't earn the commission that keeps the site free.
How to control cookies
You have full control:
- In the consent banner — when you first visit the site, you can accept or reject analytics cookies. You can revisit this choice anytime by clearing the
_ga_*cookies in your browser. - In your browser — every modern browser lets you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or delete existing ones. Search "manage cookies" in your browser's help menu.
- Tracking-protection tools — browsers like Firefox, Safari, and Brave block third-party trackers by default. Extensions like uBlock Origin or Ghostery work across all browsers.
Blocking essential cookies will break parts of the site. Blocking analytics cookies will not — the site works the same, we just can't measure usage.
Do Not Track
We respect the browser's "Do Not Track" / Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends this signal, analytics cookies will not be set even if you click "Accept" by mistake.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice if we change the cookies we use. Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top.
